It didn’t go as planned.
Glenbrook North finished over the .500 mark (5-4) but missed qualifying to the state playoffs.
But a milestone was reached … for Bob Pieper. The popular head coach became the school’s all-time winningest coach (113-65) after a 49-22 win over host Vernon Hills in Week Nine.
Under Pieper’s direction, GBN has advanced into the state playoffs 11 times. His teams have won eight games or more in eight of those seasons.
